To ensure the vehicle most suited to your requirements it is best to book in advance to ensure availability.
Upon booking you will be advised on the documentation you need to provide us.
We require:
. Payment by credit or debit card - STRICTLY NO CASH OR CHEQUES.
. Photo card licenses must be produced WITH the paper counterpart.
. Two additional forms of ID, e.g. utility bills, passport, council tax bill etc must be shown.
. Drivers must be over 21 years old, 25 years old for 7.5 tonne and minibuses.
. You must have passed your test for at least two years for insurance purposes.
PLEASE NOTE
Hirers of 7.5 ton vehicles should be in possession of an operators licence when using vehicles for Business use.
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
One driver is included in the standard price, but for an additional £10 + VAT per person you are able to additional drivers for the length of your hire.
FUEL CHARGES
All hire vehicles are to be returned with the same amount of fuel as when they where collected.
Strictly no refunds will be given for a vehicle brought back with more fuel.
(If not returned to satisfaction a charge will be incurred by the hirer)
VALETING
Vehicles should be returned to the depot in the same condition as they were hired.Vehicles which require servicing to remove debris, excessive spillage or dirt will incur a £50 fee.

COLLECTION AND RETURN TIMES
For morning collections and returns,
Monday to Saturday: 8:00 am to 9:00 am
For afternoon collections and returns.
Monday to Friday: 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Saturday: 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
! ATTENTION TO ALL HIRES !
Please note that once you have booked and paid for your vehicle we are unable to issue refunds for early returns due to the vehicle being allocated to yourself for the set period of time in which you specified, therefore we are unable to take booking for that said date.
DEPOSITS
We are able to pre authorise most credit card deposits, but in the case that your card will not allow this, you must supply the deposit in full.
HIRE VEHICLE EXCESS AMOUNTS
All vans are £300.00
All cars, minibuses and trucks are £500.00
You are able to cut your excess in half by paying an extra £10.00 + VAT per day. Please ask a member of staff for full details.
(does not cover tyre, interior, window screen and overhead damage)
INSURANCE
When using our insurance the deposit/waiver does not cover you against windscreen,
interior, tyre and overhead damage.
OVERHEAD DAMAGE
Any damage to the vehicle above the window screen is the responsibility of the hirer and not covered by the excess, the damage will be fully charged to the customer and billed separately.
Credit card payments are only processed on the day of collection. Please note you will receive a penalty charge, if the booking
is not cancelled prior to 48 hours before the collection time.
STRICTLY NO VEHICLES CAN BE RETURNED OR LEFT OUTSIDE OUR PREMISES OUTSIDE WORKING HOURS.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN PENALTY CHARGES
Howard Self Drive Hire Ltd reserves the right to amend prices and reserve the right to refuse hire.
In addition the following standard terms and conditions apply and will be on the agreement you will sign on collection of the vehicle.
